MINI MAKERS MAGAZINE

I led the creative direction for Mini Makers with a group of designer, a project based on my original concept for an interactive magazine tailored to young audiences. The publication was built on the philosophy that children are the next generation of designers. In this role, I developed the overall visual language, creating custom illustrations and patterns to establish a playful yet professional aesthetic. Beyond the conceptual work, I designed the cover and several internal spreads, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience from start to finish.

Mini Makers Magazine Concept

Mini Makers is an interactive publication for children aged 6–11 that bridges the gap between play and education. Grounded in Constructivist and Inquiry-based learning, the project uses design thinking to transform children from passive consumers into active creators. The content focuses on fine motor skill development, such as drawing and threading to enhance cognitive growth, independence, and academic readiness.

What sets this magazine apart is its high level of interactivity. By offering a variety of hands-on activities, it encourages children to touch, feel, and reflect, allowing them to have fun while discovering foundational design principles.

These tactile experiences do more than just entertain; they are purposefully designed to strengthen fine motor skills, which are essential for a child’s physical and cognitive development.
